THE GENTLE FOUNDER
FROM HUSTLE TO HUMANITY
I used to think success was measured by how much I could push through. For a long time, I lived the entrepreneur version of life on hard mode: high pressure, high stakes, always on. I told myself that building something meaningful required constant hustle and relentless effort. I wore exhaustion like a badge of honor. If I was productive, I was valuable. If I slowed down, I was failing.
Then life reached over and took the wheel.
Within a single year, both my father and my brother were diagnosed with stage four cancer. Overnight, everything rearranged itself. The business I had poured my heart into didn’t disappear, but it did fall into its proper place. What mattered most became painfully clear: the people I loved, the time I had, and the fragility of all the things I once thought were guaranteed.
That was the beginning of a different way of living. And a different way of building.
THE ULTIMATE EXIT
I didn't just sell my business for a "payday." I sold it to reclaim the most valuable currency we have: Time. I stepped away from ‘President’ to become a full-time caregiver and traded Zoom meetings for hospital rooms. That "hell of a year" stripped away the noise of the hustle and revealed a truth I had ignored:
You cannot lead a meaningful business if you are neglecting a meaningful life.
But I wasn't just caring for them; I was also learning to live within my own limitations.
EXPERIENCE OF WELLNESS
My approach to wellness isn’t something I read about in a book, it’s something I live, every single day. I navigate life with chronic autoimmune conditions, which means “slowing down” isn’t optional; it’s a biological necessity.
I’ve had to figure out how to lead, create, and build while living with unpredictable illness and carrying the weight of grief. It’s in that messy, challenging space where ambition meets limitation, and hope meets loss that The Gentle Founder was born.
WHY NOW
I’m here because I know what it feels like to keep going when your body is screaming at you to stop. The Gentle Founder is the kind of conversation I would have had with my brother on any given day. Without him, I needed a place to hold thoughtful, real support for the messy, unpredictable seasons of a Gen X life. I still have my sister, and her presence reminds me that connection, even after loss, can carry you through.
GEN-X REALITY
The hustle culture we were sold ignores our humanity, especially for those of us in the messy middle, caring for aging parents, grieving losses, managing our health, and still trying to show up.
I’m here to help founders and leaders build lives that actually have room for them to exist.
I want to prove that:
You can be ambitious without being anxious.
You can lead while managing your health.
You can build success and be gentle with yourself.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF_
You’re navigating the overlap of career ambition, health realities, and family responsibility. You’re tired of wellness advice that feels like another to-do list made for people with unlimited energy. You want to build a legacy that respects your body’s boundaries and your heart’s capacity.
I’m not here to give you another productivity hack. I’m here to share how we build meaningful things when life is hard, our bodies are tired, and our priorities have finally shifted.
I’m a work in progress. This space is too.
That’s not a weakness, it’s the point.
Let’s build something gentle.
